UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA HIGH SCHOOL HONOR BAND

The twenty-first annual University of Minnesota High School Honor Band weekend will be held on campus beginning Friday afternoon, January 23, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. and will conclude with a concert on Sunday afternoon, January 25, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in Ted Mann Concert Hall. This is an outstanding opportunity for 80 of the Upper Midwest’s finest high school wind and percussion instrumentalists in grades 10, 11 and 12 to rehearse and perform challenging music in a concentrated setting.
PLEASE NOTE: Application forms are available online at www.music.umn.edu under “News” and then click on “Competitions.” Applications and audition recordings must be emailed to ubands@umn.edu no later than November 3, 2014. Students will be notified of their participation by December 15, 2014. Applicants must be nominated by you and are required to submit a recording for evaluation by our applied faculty.
